QC SYSTEM - Color Coating Aluminum for Building Materials

Hi there, thanks for visiting our website. Today, I would like to introduce QC system of product - color coating aluminum coil in our factory. First, let’s review there are four rounds of test throughout the whole order: Raw materials test before entering machine, paint test during coating produce, final inspection after rolling and sampling inspection before package.

In the article, I will show you details about aluminum test from Raw material testing.

First step, check the appearance quality of the aluminum, which requires no defects such as scratches, bumps, and oxidation on the surface. The surface of qualified mill finish aluminum should be glossy, flat and smooth, and level edge, no burrs.

Then testing the weight, width, thickness, T-bend and mechanical properties of the aluminum to check if it could fit the order, whether the error meets domestic or international standard as project requirement.

•           Width: Measure three times at different positions with a precision steel ruler. One time exceeds, then the materials is unqualified. The error range should be within ±1mm.
•           Thickness: Micrometer offsets calibration to measure the average value at three different positions (the maximum deviation among the three measurements must not exceed the error range). The maximum deviation or the total thickness exceeding the standard is considered to be unqualified.

•           T-bend  

Detects the bending performance of the substrate. Fold once is 0T, twice is 1T, and so on. To see how many fold does the aluminum crack.

         

•             Mechanical Properties

The instrument in below picture is designed to test tension strength and elongation.

Put a piece of aluminum into the machine (Length no Less than 10cm), then set data on the computer and run it, the aluminum sample would be pulled with strength of some degree, the computer will recond the time, distance and strength while it break into two pieces. We will get the result accordingly.

Finally, the mill finish aluminum would be planted a green flag if it passes all tests. If not, in red flag, unquality materials would be sent back to supplier or be recycled.
