PE coated aluminum coil

The main coating types for color coated aluminum coils include polyester (PE), fluorocarbon (PVDF), HDPE (high-grade polyester), and FEVE. Among them, PE-coated aluminum coils use saturated polyester resin as the main film-forming substance and are cured at high temperature.

They have the advantages of excellent decoration, outstanding processing performance, high cost performance, and strong adhesion, and are widely used in building decoration, home appliance manufacturing, transportation, and light industry.

Advantages of polyethylene coating

1. Excellent decorative properties: It can present a variety of surface effects such as matte, high gloss, and metallic colors, with high color saturation and precise color difference control, adapting to diverse appearance requirements.

2. Outstanding processing performance: The coating has strong toughness and can withstand complex forming processes such as bending, stamping, and rolling, and is not prone to cracking or peeling after forming.

3. High cost performance: The raw material and processing costs are lower than high-end coatings such as fluorocarbon, achieving the optimal balance between performance and cost in medium weather resistance scenarios.

4. Strong adhesion: It bonds tightly to the aluminum coil substrate, has good scratch and wear resistance, and can withstand mechanical impacts during normal handling and installation.

Surface treatments

The surface finish of PE-coated aluminum coils is mainly determined by adjustments to the coating formulation and coating process, and primarily includes high-gloss, semi-gloss, matte, metallic, frosted, and wood/stone grain effects.

Inspection

At different stages of the production process, we continuously conduct various tests, such as coating thickness testing, paint adhesion testing, impact resistance testing, and bending testing.

Applications

PE-coated aluminum coils, with their composite advantages of aluminum sheet and PE coating, are widely used in building decoration, such as exterior wall insulation panels, interior ceilings and cabinet doors, refrigerator and freezer inner liner and outer shell, washing machine and air conditioner covers, food-grade composite packaging film and chemical and pharmaceutical packaging barrel linings, automotive interior parts and rail transit carriage wall panels, as well as photovoltaic backsheet protective layers and outdoor billboard substrates.

Packaging &Shipping

The packaging has three layers:

1. The inner layer is waterproof kraft paper packaging with desiccant.

2. The outer layer is plastic waterproof packaging.

3. Finally, they would be stocked with fumigated wooden pallets and steel belts.
