Product Details
HDPE aluminum coil is a composite industrial material made by combining a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) layer with an aluminum alloy substrate through co-extrusion, hot-pressing and other processes. It combines the corrosion resistance, weather resistance and impact resistance of HDPE with the core characteristics of aluminum alloy such as light weight, high strength and thermal and electrical conductivity.
Excellent chemical resistance, suitable for corrosive environments such as chemical plants and wastewater treatment plants.
Excellent weather resistance and UV resistance, suitable for long-term outdoor use (15-year lifespan).
Compared to low-density polyethylene (LDPE), HDPE coating has a more compact molecular chain arrangement, resulting in higher tensile strength and rigidity.
Superior waterproof and moisture-proof properties make it an ideal material for waterproof membranes and packaging linings.
Good processing and molding performance, adaptable to the production needs of products with different specifications.
Environmentally friendly and recyclable, with low pollutant emissions during production and use, reducing environmental costs at the application end.
Low coefficient of friction, suitable for manufacturing wear-resistant parts such as pipe linings and sliders.

HDPE-coated aluminum coils come in several types: solid, metallic, stone, and wood finishes. Solid finishes are the most widely used and are available in a variety of colors. Metal finishes give the aluminum coils a realistic metallic look and can add a unique visual effect to buildings. Stone finishes show the texture of natural stone, while wood finishes looks like solid wood.

1.Chemical equipment corrosion protection: Linings and external protective layers for chemical storage tanks and reactors.
2. Building roofing and exterior wall decoration: Core substrate for waterproof roofing membranes and integrated exterior wall insulation and decoration panels.
3. Engineering machinery component protection: Covering layers for concrete mixer truck tanks, excavator cab shells, loader protective fenders, etc.
4. Electronic and electrical equipment housings: Manufacturing distribution box housings, communication base station protective covers, photovoltaic inverter housings, etc.
5. Transportation sector parts manufacturing: Used for container linings, refrigerated truck body panels, lightweight automotive components, etc.
6. Agriculture and water conservancy facilities: Manufacturing protective layers for greenhouse frames, irrigation pipe linings, and impermeable linings for reservoirs, etc.

The packaging has three layers:
1. The inner layer is waterproof kraft paper packaging with desiccant.
2. The outer layer is plastic waterproof packaging.
3. Finally, they would be stocked with fumigated wooden pallets and steel belts.

PE is a general term for polymers including HDPE, LDPE, and LLDPE. PE coatings usually refer to LDPE or LLDPE base coatings. The core performance differences between the two are as follows:
1. Density and mechanical properties
PE Coating (LDPE/LLDPE): Lower tensile strength (10–20 MPa), higher elongation at break (400–800%), good flexibility but insufficient rigidity, easily deformed.
HDPE Coating: Tensile strength can reach 20–35 MPa, superior rigidity and tear resistance, maintains good impact resistance even at low temperatures (-40℃), and is not easily brittle.
2. Chemical Corrosion Resistance
PE Coating: It has some resistance to weak acids and alkalis, but easily swells in organic solvents and high-concentration acid/alkali environments.
HDPE Coating: Stronger chemical resistance, resistant to most acids, alkalis, salts, and organic solvents, suitable for chemical corrosion protection and wastewater contact applications.
3. Weather resistance and heat resistance
PE Coating: Lower heat resistance temperature; weak UV resistance, prone to aging and cracking with long-term outdoor use.
HDPE Coating: Heat resistance temperature is up to 80–100℃; with the addition of UV-resistant additives, weather resistance is significantly improved, meeting outdoor use requirements for 8–15 years.
4. Abrasion resistance and friction properties
PE Coating: Low surface hardness, high coefficient of friction (0.3–0.4), easily worn, unsuitable for high-frequency friction scenarios.
HDPE Coating: Smooth surface, low coefficient of friction as low as 0.2–0.3, excellent abrasion resistance, suitable as pipe lining and protective coating for mechanical components.
5. Processing and application compatibility
PE Coating: Good flowability, easy to achieve thin coating (5–15μm), suitable for packaging films and surface protection of lightweight substrates.
HDPE coating: It has a high melt viscosity and a wide range of controllable coating thickness (15–500μm). It is suitable for processes such as roll coating and extrusion lamination, and is often used for heavy-duty anti-corrosion protection of industrial aluminum coils, steel pipes, and engineering machinery parts.
